While we believe that preparing for your puppy to come home to be trained by you is often the #1 way to raise up a puppy, we know that some circumstances and situations make that difficult and so we are happy to offer Home to Home Guddog Training options as well as other options below.
Home to Home training provides an excellent way to begin your puppy's formal training experience after he/she leaves the breeder. We believe that their transition between homes (from ours to yours) will be much smoother if are raised and trained in a home with a family before coming to your home versus being raised/trained in a facility where the environment is much different than a normal family-life situation.

THE THREE B’s:
BONDING - Petting is praise! Our general rule is ‘Treats are for Tricks’ not basic obedience! We generally do not use treats to initiate training with our pups. We feel that their real ‘treat’ is to be praised and this has proven to be longer lasting and builds a deeper, more positive relationship with their commander. It also takes the ‘If you don’t have a treat, they won’t do it’ out of the picture. Treats are used later and with scent activities and harder tasks. We bond and correct simultaneously and it’s fast!
BOUNDARIES - Pups who are raised up with boundaries for their safety and sanity are happier and better trained. We focus on limiting their boundaries and expand them as they grow. This helps them to be able to learn excellent focus habits as well as not want to potty where they’re playing and working. We believe in crate training and feel it is an excellent place for them to feel peace and have their space when they need it.
BEHAVIORS - We believe in correction just as much as praising. We use sharp sounds to correct (ch-ch) and happy chipper sounds to call them. Pups naturally nip, bite, play rough, jump on people and know who is in charge. We provide a happy environment for them to learn quickly what’s accepted and what dogs do with dogs and not with people. A clear expectation of what’s appropriate will help them build confidence naturally.
3-HANDLER METHOD - We use a 3-Handler Method where every puppy that goes through our training will pass off the requirements with a minimum of 3 different handlers to help the pup understand even better how to transition between owners/commanders. Each puppy has his own checklist that we go through during the time they are with us.
********PLEASE NOTE********
IN ORDER FOR YOUR DOG TO KEEP UP WHAT HE/SHE HAS LEARNED WITH US, YOU MUST CONTINUE IT WITH THEM WHEN THEY COME TO YOU IN ORDER FOR THIS TO BE SUCCESSFUL.
