​I got my sweet Standard Poodle, Sadie, from Evergreen Canine in 2018. It has been one of the best decisions I've ever made!  I first met Sarah when I went to take a look at the puppies. From the beginning, Sarah was warm and friendly. I could see from the moment I arrived that she has a great love for all of her dogs. From day one the puppies are raised as part of the Gudmunson family and are very well socialized. Sarah was able to tell me the temperament of each of the puppies I looked at and was very open and willing to answer any and all of my questions. When I took Sadie home at 11 weeks, she was well on her way to being potty trained and crate trained and was healthy and well taken care of. It was very apparent from the start that Sadie had been exposed to lots of different experiences such as car rides and being handled by different people, especially children. Sarah has and continues to be willing to help whenever I have questions or concerns and is genuinely interested in all of the dogs that come from her breeding program. Even now, 3 1/2 years later, Sarah loves to hear how Sadie is doing and sincerely cares about our successes. I know that whenever I have questions or concerns I can count on Sarah to help. If you are considering bringing a new puppy into your life, then I highly recommend working with Sarah and the Gud Dog family. I found Sarah during an incredibly challenging time in our lives. Our family was going through a lot of change and our son was really struggling with anxiety, fear and the loneliness of being an only child. Through counseling and lots of discussion, my husband and I decided that a dog could be beneficial for our son. Over the years, we had given several rescue dogs a good and loving home, but in this instance, we found ourselves with very specific needs in terms of breed and temperament. Going with a breeder was an unfamiliar choice for our family and we felt strongly about finding someone trustworthy, knowledgeable, and responsible in their breeding practices. I found Sarah through the AKC website and after my very first conversation with her, I knew instantly that we had found the right person to help fulfill our family’s needs. Sarah really took time to fully understand our needs and was able to help us make a PERFECT connection. We have had our sweet Ducky for 3 years now and absolutely cannot imagine our lives without him. He has helped our son SO much and has thoroughly blessed our family with daily comfort, joy and laughter. We have loved staying in touch with Sarah, frequently sending her pictures and updates. We also really appreciate that she welcomes her pups back for boarding services when owners need to go out of town and cannot take furry family members along for the journey. We cannot recommend Sarah highly enough. When we made the decision to add a Standard Poodle to our family, we searched for the right breeder. While all responded to our inquiries, providing pricing and availability, Sarah was the only one who wanted to get to know our family first and arranged time to speak with us over the phone. Her priority was to find her pups the best homes and make sure both humans and pups would be happy. She sent videos to us, observation notes, and recommendations as to which pup would thrive with our family. And boy did she get it right! If you want someone who cares about your pet as much as you, Sarah is the only choice!
